Welcome to the OSLC Connect for Jira Documentation space!

If you have just started a trial or are looking for more information about OSLC Connect for Jira, this is the right place for you.

In this Documentation space, we will guide you from starting from scratch with OSLC Connect for Jira to having the plugin installed and setting up connectivity between the Atlassian Jira appliance and Siemens Polarion.

Before you get started:

If you don’t know what OSLC is, we recommend to start with the following articles:

  1. Enabling Lifecycle Collaboration with OSLC: an introduction to OSLC.

  2. Understanding OSLC Architecture: what you need to know about deploying an OSLC Architecture.

  3. Planning your Deployment: our guide to help you plan your Configuration.

At that point, you will have a better understanding of your OSLC applications, how they interact, as well as should have a table listing the applications you wish to connect.

Once done, or if you just know that already, you can move on to the preparation of your environment with:

  1. Installing OSLC Connect for Jira and Activating the License

  2. Configuring Polarion as a Friend in Jira

  3. Configuring Jira as a Friend in Polarion

As suggested in the validation articles, proceed to Troubleshooting friending issues in OSLC Connect for Jira and OSLC Connect for Confluence or Troubleshooting friending issues in Polarion if you happen to come across any problem during these configuration steps.

After you have gone through the various steps above, your next Journey will be to set up the associations between your projects: From Project Associations to the first Link using OSLC Connect for Jira with Siemens Polarion
