In order to link data between your Confluence and one or more remote applications, you need to previously establish Friend and Consumer relationships.

In this article, you will learn how you can create new Friend and Consumer relationships between your Confluence and IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management.

  1. Registering a Friend in Confluence.

  2. Approving a Consumer in ELM, and make good use of the time of your IBM ELM Admin by asking him to proceed with Whitelisting your Confluence appliance in IBM ELM in all connected applications.

  3. Note that if you don’t know what Global Configurations are, you may want to review our Introduction to Configurations and Global Configurations. And if you want to use them, you will need to do the friending to the Global Configuration Manager (GCM) application from the IBM ELM suite.
